Introducing Christy Lynn

Christy Lynn... I think that's a pretty cool name. It has a sort of mysterious ring to it, a certain representation of a girl who is trying to make her way in the world. She is lead by the various dreams that motivate her to strive in improving her talents in show business. No, Christy Lynn is not my real name. Let's just say it is a quite an amazing stage name.

Entertainment... what an interesting thing to do. Some people may know what I mean when I say interesting. If you're a dancer, actor/actress, singer- show business can come as stressful and nerve-wracking sometimes. Whether it comes to being backstage, onstage, or AUDITIONS, many things happen that may be considered as crazy- no- quite eventful. But don't get me wrong, I love performing- regardless of that list of cons. Just the feeling of planting my feet on a stage, smiling under the beaming lights, and listening to the musical applause... I feel at home.

I am a singer... I have been singing ever since I can remember and have always enjoyed it. Just the idea of a melodious tune escaping from your mouth is magical. After doing a variety of solos in church and school, I had the opportunity to perform in a professional show at ten. I was a featured singer, and that was a very good experience for me. Since then, I have continued my career by auditioning for talent shows and concerts, even joining choirs. I love to sing, I love music. It is a vital part in my life.

I am an actress... Those who know me will agree that I am quite a dramatic, emotional person. I take some acting at school, and I quite enjoy practicing whenever I get the chance.

I am a musician... I am currently teaching myself the piano right now. I also have history in playing the violin, but who knows where that knowledge went?

I am a born performer... my parents are both entertainers. My dad especially has done many shows and musicals around the world. He is also an accomplished producer and director. So I guess I could say that I have the encouragement and talented teachers needed in one's advancement towards this profession.

So, now that everybody knows a little about me, it's time to explain why I am setting up this blog. I feel like I want to share my experiences with anyone who is aiming for the same goal I have. I hope I am able to provide helpful tips to succeeding in show business and some interesting stories that all of you will  take pleasure in. :)

Well, I think that should work well as a first post. I'm crossing my fingers that it captivated the attention of multiple people in this world.

Cordially,
Christy Lynn
