Fall Musical

Hey, everybody! Christy here! I have to tell something extremely exciting... WE ARE DOING "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella" FOR OUR FALL MUSICAL AT HIGH SCHOOL THIS YEAR! I am determined to be in it. For weeks I have been searching for the perfect one-minute monologue. If any of you readers know where I can find a god one, please comment. :) I'd prefer it to be dramatic with a lot of emotion.

I have found a couple of monologues. They seem pretty good for my audition... I just hope one of them will work. I am going to work SUPER hard for this audition. With my monologue and the song provided, I am striving to blow the director's mind. Today in Acting class, we began to discuss some methods of acting. I learned that monologues should obtain action and change. What I mean by that is my teacher said a monologue is a lot more interesting if you have one mood at the beginning, then all of a sudden the plot twists dramatically or you change moods all together. I thought that was interesting.

Truthfully, I would love to be Cinderella. What girl wouldn't? But my goal is to be in the chorus- it'll be a long-shot to be Cinderella. Well, the auditions are in 17 days. Please comment is you have any advice or suggestions. THANK YOU! :)

Your Friendly Dreamer,

Christy Lynn
